👍You're NOT Failing...here's The Secret

Well hi there my fave music teacher!

This quote really hits home for me Reader because I have lived my life through failure (Don't stop reading. This is not an ahh poor Jeanette email...)

I always say that life has to slap me in the face before I truly understand that I'm going in the wrong direction. I've lived through a divorce, a messy relationship with a mentally abusive boyfriend, and the loss of my and my children's home. Each time, I stayed too long. Each challenge was a lot at the time, but each seemingly huge problem also taught me a valuable lesson that I have taken with me.

I've grown as a person to become who I am today through these life-altering and very difficult challenges. These events (in my humble opinion) were God (or the universe if you don't believe in one higher power) telling me I was going in the wrong direction...I was doing it wrong...or I needed to make a drastic change in my life.

Being someone who always looks at the glass half full has worked in my favor, because I just pick myself up and keep going when something truly terrible happens.

When you meet a challenge that feels insurmountable, take a good look at how you're living your life. Don't stay stuck in the muck and mess. Turn in another direction and make a change for the positive.

Blessings Reader,

Jeanette

Your Monday Motivation Hey there Reader! It's almost time...summer is coming. While you're in the midst of all the busy, it can be challenging to remember that (as my mom used to say) this too shall pass. Let this be your reminder to take a moment to reflect on the wonderful moments like how proud you are of the performance your kiddos just did. Then think for just a second about how it will feel when the year is over. What are you most looking forward to? Hit reply and let me know....

Your Monday Motivation Hey, Hi, Ho Reader, I know you already know this, but I'm gonna say it again. Spring is like a miracle for me. All the tiny periods of growth happening over like a month or so are amazing. Your classroom is the same. Sometimes, especially as an elementary music teacher, you don't see the growth, because your students are young and learn rather slowly. But that doesn't mean you're not making a difference. You ARE making a difference every day Reader. Try to notice that...

Your Monday Motivation Hi there Reader Take a look at your students today, and find the one who was your biggest challenge and is now your biggest achievement. We all have that kiddo who just turned it around and started loving music. Maybe you don't have them this year, but you know who I'm talking about. On the hard days, keep that kiddo in mind. You changed their life! You gave them a gift they will always have. And even if that doesn't happen every day, (and we know it won't), it's...
